Pouch Security and Leakage Belt The Security and Leakage Belt is made of a soft 30mm (1.18") elastic belt attached to a retaining ring that fits between the bag and the adhesive sections of the pouch. This lightweight unobtrusive belt is designed to help eliminate leakage problems by gently holding the adhesive section of the pouch against the body during all activities. The belt also gives added confidence and security against the pouch becoming detached and will help support the weight of a full pouch. *The belt is Suitable for all ostomists, male or female, who have a stoma sited on, or within 2 or 3 inches (50-75mm) of the waistline. *Belts are individually made and allow for the differences in waist measurement and the type of pouch being used. *A fitting is not required when ordering a Leakage belt. All the relevant information is requested on the Order Form. *Pouch: To ensure correct manufacture of the belts retaining ring it is requested that a customer's pouch be enclosed with the order. The hole cut into the belt flange is specifically made for your pouch through which the bag section is pulled through. *Waist Size: The 30mm (1.18 inch) wide elastic belt has an adjustment of approx. 30cm (12 inches) and only an approx waist size is required. *Fitting the Belt: For maximum comfort the belt has been made without any hard fastenings securing the belt to the retaining ring. The belt is placed around the body by either stepping into or pulling the elastic band down over the head, then pull the bag section of the pouch through the hole in the plastic retaining flange and adjust to fit comfortably between the bag and the adhesive section of the pouch/appliance.
